URBAN HEALTH CONCENTRATION
Rooted in the concept of health as a human right, this program will teach you to develop culturally competent programs, policies, and solutions to contemporary urban health challenges, including built environment, healthy housing, and ecological concerns.
Provides the foundation for a career addressing infectious disease processes, surveillance, and safe public health and health care environments. This innovative program is taught by field experts and will prepare you for success in various public health careers.
Focuses on fundamental content in infectious disease, epidemiology and surveillance, and patient safety. Designed for those with a strong background in biology, health sciences, and/or professional experience working clinically in healthcare settings.
Emphasizes the complex medical and ethical considerations involved in the study of LGBT health and examines how sexual identities impact health and the subsequent treatment received. Learn to critique the research, sampling, and measurement methodologies used to investigate LGBT health and its corresponding disparities.
Provides the knowledge and skills needed to effectively promote the health and well-being of women, mothers, infants, children, adolescents, and families in local, domestic, and global settings. Learn how to translate data into practice, plan and evaluate programs, and communicate with distinct and diverse audiences guided by mentors/faculty with MCH experience.
Focuses on the key competencies outlined by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) in eight domains: Evidence-Based Approaches to Public Health, Public Health & Health Care Systems, Planning & Management to Promote Health, Policy in Public Health Leadership, Communication, Interprofessional Practice, and Systems Thinking.

EPIDEMIOLOGY CONCENTRATION
Learn to apply, develop, and teach the skills needed to understand the determinants of disease and improve health using the appropriate descriptive and analytic approaches. In addition, the biostatistics courses provide knowledge on the development and application of theory and methods in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data used in public health and other biomedical sciences.
GLOBAL HEALTH CONCENTRATION
Focuses on health and human rights, urban health, and translating policy into practice. Learn to confront urgent public health and global health challenges with innovative solutions grounded in the latest evidence and community-based partnerships.
