The Drexel Advantage
Program Features
  • Designed specifically for working professionals, Drexel’s program is ideal for those already working in the industry as well as those seeking to change careers
  • Coursework focuses on the management practices, theory, and hands-on experience that are essential for leadership positions in the arts or museums
  • Learn from faculty who have a rich background and years of experience in the arts and culture community

Two concentration options allow you to dive deeper into your area of interest:

  • Arts Administration
Designed for early and mid-career leaders in arts and culture, this concentration prepares you for work in non-profit and commercial enterprises. Many of our alumni also work in foundations and in government agencies. The curriculum includes a sequence that culminates in a research-based original thesis.
  • Museum Leadership
With a nod to the changing face of museums worldwide, Drexel takes a broad view of the field to prepare you for a number of opportunities to work in museums such as art, science, history and cultural; living collections (zoos, arboreta, and aquariums); and historical sites. The curriculum includes a practicum where you'll have the opportunity to gain practical, applied experience working at a museum or cultural institution.
Hear From Our Students
Caitlin Flaherty, Graduate

"I cannot say enough good things about Drexel’s professors. Throughout the program, I was challenged to collaborate in my local community, participate in arts events, and interview professionals in the field. This was another integral part of the education I received from Drexel."
