Drexel University’s EdD in Educational Leadership and Management prepares educators and organizational leaders to create meaningful, lasting change. The program emphasizes practical leadership skills, applied research, and strategies that advance learning — equipping graduates to influence systems, inspire communities, and lead with confidence.
Students learn in a supportive cohort model that keeps peers connected throughout the entire program. With flexible formats, diverse concentrations, tailored research opportunities, and Drexel’s Mentoring and Coaching (MAC) program, each student can shape a path that aligns with their goals and professional vision.
Program Highlights
Our Online EdD offers maximum flexibility for professionals balancing work, life, and academic growth. Students can pursue a three-year accelerated plan or a five-year extended plan, making it possible to advance their careers from anywhere in the world. With 10 concentration options, online learners tailor their studies to their aspirations while benefiting from structured mentorship, collaborative cohort learning, and Drexel’s expansive global network.
Our new Executive EdD is an immersive, two-year experience built for leaders ready to accelerate their impact. This format goes beyond traditional hybrid learning by incorporating applied experiences, including travel opportunities that deepen engagement with global and organizational leadership. With three focused concentrations (K-12 Leadership, Higher Education Leadership, and Nonprofit and Corporate Leadership) and a curriculum designed for high-impact roles, Executive EdD students gain advanced expertise, real-world experience, and access to Drexel’s faculty and professional network.
The modality blends the convenience of online coursework with the connection of monthly, in-person class meetings. Ideal for leaders who value face-to-face engagement, this three-to-five-year format offers the same 10 concentrations, MAC support, and cohort community as the online program. However, hybrid students experience a dynamic balance of flexibility and personal interaction that enriches their leadership development.
