T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Pennsylvania Scholarship Program and Drexel University are partnering to offer scholarships to Pennsylvania childhood educators.
Qualify to earn state certification in preK-4 education by earning a degree or certificate online for up to 95% off regular tuition.
PROGRAMS FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHERS
Designed to help those with previous college experience prepare for Pre-K-4 elementary teacher certification or PreK-4 & Special Education certification.
Designed for those not seeking teaching certification. Examines how theories of teaching and learning can be applied to careers in other fields, such as instructional design and education nonprofits.
Teacher Certification Track: Grades PreK-4
Designed for those with bachelor's degrees who wish to qualify for state teaching certification while simultaneously earning their Master's degree online.

You should submit the T.E.A.C.H. application and apply for admission to Drexel at about the same time, and as early as possible.
- You need to have been working for at least 6 months in a Keystone STARS child care program, for approximately 30 hours/week
- You need to have 55 credits or an Associate’s Degree before you can be admitted to the BS in Education program at Drexel with a T.E.A.C.H. scholarship
- Your current teacher salary should not be more than $19/hour for teachers and $25/hour for center directors
- For each year you receive a T.E.A.C.H. scholarship, you will need to work for one additional year at your center
- You will receive a higher salary as you make progress in your program of study, based on your contract with T.E.A.C.H.
- T.E.A.C.H. will pay you to complete field placements or student teaching requirements which may take you out of the classroom
- T.E.A.C.H. will pay your center to cover the cost of a substitute teacher if you need to be out of the classroom for school-related purposes
- You can complete at least some of your student teaching at your current center so long as you are working with a certified teacher
- Child care directors can also receive a T.E.A.C.H. scholarship
